Mihnea joined the EBRD Power & Energy Utilities (PEU) sector team in 2007 after spending seven years in ING in Structure Finance. Between 2007-2015, he covered the team’s business in Romania and, more recently, Moldova.
In November 2015, he joined EBRD Romania country team, as Deputy Head of Bucharest office. In his new capacity, he is responsible for the Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure business of EBRD in Romania.
Over the years Mihnea has been involved in virtually all PEU’s major projects in Romania, supporting the development of the renewable energy sector in the country but also leading high profile financial markets transactions that saw the Bank successfully participating in debt and equity issues. From his position, he delivered also on the policy dialogue mandate of the Bank, over the last few years with a focus on corporate governance in Romania.
Mihnea has a PhD in Finance from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
